What is texlive-dvips
This package has been withdrawn from CTAN, and bundled into the distributions’ package sets. The current sources of dvips may be found in the distribution of dvipsk which forms part of the TeX-live sources.
We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-dvips on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-dvips.
Install texlive-dvips on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-dvips using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-dvips
Install texlive-dvips on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-dvips using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-dvips
How To Uninstall texlive-dvips on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the texlive-dvips package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-dvips
