What is texlive-cyrillic
This bundle of macros files provides macro support (including font encoding macros) for the use of Cyrillic characters in fonts encoded under the T2* and X2 encodings. These encodings cover (between them) pretty much every language that is written in a Cyrillic alphabet. This directory is part of the LaTeX “required” distribution.
We can use yum or dnf to install texlive-cyrillic on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install texlive-cyrillic.
Install texlive-cyrillic on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-cyrillic using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install texlive-cyrillic
Install texlive-cyrillic on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install texlive-cyrillic using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install texlive-cyrillic
How To Uninstall texlive-cyrillic on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the texlive-cyrillic package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove texlive-cyrillic
