How To Install texify on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install texify on Kali Linux.
What is texify
texify is:
Texify is a perl script that translates source code written in any of several different languages to LaTeX source files. The purpose is to make source code embedded in documents more readable, by performing syntax highlighting.
The supported languages are ABEL, Ada, Assembly, B, BETA, Bison, C, C++, OMG/CORBA IDL, Java, Lex, Lisp, LOGLA, MATLAB, ML, Perl, Promela, Python, Scheme, SIMULA, SQL, Ruby and VHDL.
There are three methods to install texify on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install texify Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install texify using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install texifyInstall texify Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install texify using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install texifyInstall texify Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the texify package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove texifyUninstall texify And Its Dependencies
To uninstall texify and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove texifyRemove texify Configurations and Data
To remove texify configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge texifyRemove texify configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove texify configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge texifyDependencies
