What is tetex-dvipost

The command dvipost is a post procesor for dvi files, created by latex or tex. It is used for special modes, which normally needs the support of dvi drivers (such as dvips). With dvipost, this features could be implemented independent of the preferred driver. Currently, the post processor supports layout raster, change bars and overstrike mode.

We can use yum or dnf to install tetex-dvipost on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install tetex-dvipost.

Install tetex-dvipost on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install tetex-dvipost using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install tetex-dvipost

Install tetex-dvipost on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install tetex-dvipost using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install tetex-dvipost

How To Uninstall tetex-dvipost on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the tetex-dvipost package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove tetex-dvipost
