How To Install teseq on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install teseq on Kali Linux.
What is teseq
teseq is:
GNU Teseq is a tool for analyzing files that contain control characters and terminal control sequences. It is intended to be useful for diagnosing terminal emulators, and programs that make heavy use of terminal features (such as those based on the Curses library).
It is primarily targeted at individuals who possess a basic understanding of terminal control sequences, especially CSI sequences; however, by default Teseq will try to identify and describe the sequences that it encounters, and the behavior they might produce in a terminal.
There are three methods to install teseq on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install teseq Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install teseq using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install teseqInstall teseq Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install teseq using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install teseqInstall teseq Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install teseq using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install teseqHow To Uninstall teseq on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the teseq package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove teseqUninstall teseq And Its Dependencies
To uninstall teseq and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove teseqRemove teseq Configurations and Data
To remove teseq configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge teseqRemove teseq configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
