How To Install tcl-thread on Ubuntu 18.04

What is tcl-thread
tcl-thread is:
The thread extension creates threads that contain Tcl interpreters, and it lets you send scripts to those threads for evaluation. It also enables you to share data between threads in a safe, protected fashion. Additionally, it provides script-level access to basic thread synchronization primitives, like mutexes and condition variables.
There are three methods to install tcl-thread on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install tcl-thread using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install tcl-thread using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install tcl-thread
Install tcl-thread Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install tcl-thread using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install tcl-thread
How To Uninstall tcl-thread on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the tcl-thread package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove tcl-thread
Uninstall tcl-thread And Its Dependencies
To uninstall tcl-thread and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tcl-thread
Remove tcl-thread Configurations and Data
To remove tcl-thread configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tcl-thread
Remove tcl-thread configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove tcl-thread configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge tcl-thread
