What is tcl-tclreadline
The tclreadline package makes the GNU Readline library available for interactive tcl shells. This includes history expansion and file/command completion. Command completion for all tcl/tk commands is provided and command completion for user defined commands can be easily added. Tclreadline can also be used for tcl scripts which want to use a shell like input interface.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install tcl-tclreadline
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install tcl-tclreadline.
Install tcl-tclreadline on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install tcl-tclreadline
