How To Install tayga on Ubuntu 22.04

What is tayga
tayga is:
TAYGA is an out-of-kernel stateless NAT64 implementation for Linux that uses the TUN driver to exchange IPv4 and IPv6 packets with the kernel. It is intended to provide production-quality NAT64 service for networks where dedicated NAT64 hardware would be overkill. TAYGA needs no kernel patches or out-of-tree modules, and it is compatible with all 2.4 and 2.6 kernels.
There are three methods to install tayga on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tayga Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install tayga using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install tayga
Install tayga Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install tayga using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install tayga
Install tayga Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install tayga using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install tayga
How To Uninstall tayga on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the tayga package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove tayga
Uninstall tayga And Its Dependencies
To uninstall tayga and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tayga
Remove tayga Configurations and Data
To remove tayga configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tayga
Remove tayga configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove tayga configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge tayga
