How To Install sx on CentOS 7
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install sx
on CentOS 7.
What is sx
sxconsole is a tool used to extract various report types and then analyze those extracted reports with plug-ins. The tool also provides an archiving structure so that all the compressed and extracted reports are saved to a directory. This tool was developed for sysreport/sosreports but has been expanded to include any report that has a class defined.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install sx
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install sx.
Install sx on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install sx
using yum
by running the following command:

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
