How To Install swish++ on Ubuntu 18.04

SWISH++ is a Unix-based file indexing and searching engine (typically used to index and search files on web sites). It was based on SWISH-E although SWISH++ is a complete rewrite.

There are three methods to install swish++ on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

To uninstall swish++ and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove swish++
Remove swish++ Configurations and Data
To remove swish++ configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge swish++
Remove swish++ configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove swish++ configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge swish++
