How To Install subversion on Debian 10

What is subversion
subversion is:
Apache Subversion, also known as svn, is a centralised version control system. Version control systems allow many individuals (who may be distributed geographically) to collaborate on a set of files (source code, websites, etc). Subversion began with a CVS paradigm and supports all the major features of CVS, but has evolved to support many features that CVS users often wish they had.
This package includes the Subversion client (svn, svnsync), repository administration tools (svnadmin, svnlook) and a network server (svnserve).
There are three methods to install subversion on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install subversion Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install subversion using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install subversion

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install subversion using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install subversion
Install subversion Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install subversion using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install subversion
How To Uninstall subversion on Debian 10
To uninstall only the subversion package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove subversion
