How To Install strongswan-tnc-client on Ubuntu 18.04

The strongSwan VPN suite uses the native IPsec stack in the standard Linux kernel. It supports both the IKEv1 and IKEv2 protocols.
This package provides the client functionality for strongSwan’s Trusted Network Connect’s (TNC) features.
It includes the OS, scanner, test, SWID, and attestation IMCs.
There are three methods to install strongswan-tnc-client on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install strongswan-tnc-client Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install strongswan-tnc-client using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install strongswan-tnc-client using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install strongswan-tnc-client
Install strongswan-tnc-client Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install strongswan-tnc-client using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install strongswan-tnc-client
How To Uninstall strongswan-tnc-client on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the strongswan-tnc-client package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove strongswan-tnc-client
Uninstall strongswan-tnc-client And Its Dependencies
To uninstall strongswan-tnc-client and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove strongswan-tnc-client
Remove strongswan-tnc-client Configurations and Data
To remove strongswan-tnc-client configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge strongswan-tnc-client
Remove strongswan-tnc-client configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove strongswan-tnc-client configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge strongswan-tnc-client
