How To Install strongswan-tnc-base on Ubuntu 18.04

The strongSwan VPN suite uses the native IPsec stack in the standard Linux kernel. It supports both the IKEv1 and IKEv2 protocols.
This package provides the base files for strongSwan’s Trusted Network Connect’s (TNC) functionality.
strongSwan’s IMC/IMV dynamic libraries can be used by any third party TNC client/server implementation possessing a standard IF-IMC/IMV interface.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install strongswan-tnc-base
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install strongswan-tnc-base
How To Uninstall strongswan-tnc-base on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the strongswan-tnc-base
package we can use the following command:

To uninstall strongswan-tnc-base
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:

To remove strongswan-tnc-base
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge strongswan-tnc-base
Remove strongswan-tnc-base configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove strongswan-tnc-base
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge strongswan-tnc-base
