What is storymaps

storymaps is:

StoryMaps is a graphical story planning and writing application for children that breaks down the elements of traditional fairy tales into building blocks, following Vladimir Propp’s plot functions.

With StoryMaps children can easily create their own stories: selecting the plot cards with the story cards, creating a story map and writing their own story using a text editor. Once finished, the application can be used to export the story into HTML format.

There are three methods to install storymaps on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install storymaps Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install storymaps using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install storymaps

Install storymaps Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install storymaps using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install storymaps

Install storymaps Using aptitude
