How To Install stlink-tools on Ubuntu 22.04

on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is stlink-tools
stlink-tools is:
Flashing tools for STMicroelectronics STM32VL and STM32L. The transport layers STLINKv1 and STLINKv2 are supported.
This package contains commandline utilities for stlink, and modprobe and udev rules.
There are three methods to install stlink-tools
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install stlink-tools

How To Uninstall stlink-tools on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the stlink-tools
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove stlink-tools

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove stlink-tools
Remove stlink-tools Configurations and Data
To remove stlink-tools
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge stlink-tools
