How To Install stardict-plugin on Ubuntu 18.04

What is stardict-plugin
stardict-plugin is:
StarDict is a cross-platform and international written in GTK+ 2.x. It has powerful features such as “Glob-style pattern matching”, “Scan selection word”, “Fuzzy search”, etc.
This package contains some add-on plugins for StarDict. These include:

- qqwry virtual dict plugin
- html parse plugin
- xdxf parse plugin
- wordnet plugin
- powerword parse plugin

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install stardict-plugin using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install stardict-plugin using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install stardict-plugin
How To Uninstall stardict-plugin on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the stardict-plugin package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove stardict-plugin
Uninstall stardict-plugin And Its Dependencies
To uninstall stardict-plugin and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove stardict-plugin
Remove stardict-plugin Configurations and Data
To remove stardict-plugin configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge stardict-plugin
