How To Install sscg on CentOS 7
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install sscg on CentOS 7.
What is sscg
A utility to aid in the creation of more secure “self-signed” certificates. The certificates created by this tool are generated in a way so as to create a CA certificate that can be safely imported into a client machine to trust the service certificate without needing to set up a full PKI environment and without exposing the machine to a risk of false signatures from the service certificate.
We can use yum or dnf to install sscg on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install sscg.
Install sscg on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install sscg using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install sscg
Install sscg on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install sscg using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install sscg
How To Uninstall sscg on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the sscg package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove sscg
