How To Install spyder-doc on Debian 9

What is spyder-doc
spyder-doc is:
Originally written to design Spyder (the Scientific PYthon Development EnviRonment), the spyderlib Python library provides ready-to-use pure-Python widgets: source code editor with syntax highlighting and code introspection/analysis features, NumPy array editor, dictionary editor, Python console, etc. It’s based on the Qt Python binding module PyQt4 (and is compatible with PySide since v2.2).

There are three methods to install spyder-doc
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install spyder-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install spyder-doc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install spyder-doc
Install spyder-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install spyder-doc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install spyder-doc
Install spyder-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install spyder-doc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install spyder-doc
How To Uninstall spyder-doc on Debian 9
To uninstall only the spyder-doc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove spyder-doc
Uninstall spyder-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall spyder-doc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove spyder-doc
Remove spyder-doc Configurations and Data
To remove spyder-doc
configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge spyder-doc
Remove spyder-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove spyder-doc
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge spyder-doc
