What is split-select

split-select is:

Generates the logic for selecting a Split APK given some target Android device configuration.

Using the flag –generate will emit a JSON encoded tree of rules that must be satisfied in order to install the given Split APK. Using the flag –target along with the device configuration will emit the set of Split APKs to install, following the same logic that would have been emitted

There are three methods to install split-select on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install split-select Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install split-select using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install split-select

Install split-select Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install split-select using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install split-select

Install split-select Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install split-select using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install split-select

How To Uninstall split-select on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the split-select package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove split-select

Uninstall split-select And Its Dependencies

To uninstall split-select and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove split-select

Remove split-select Configurations and Data

To remove split-select configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge split-select
