How To Install speech-tools on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install speech-tools on Kali Linux.
What is speech-tools
speech-tools is:
This package contains the various highly useful utility programs that use and accompany the Edinburgh Speech Tools Library. Audio software and some basic signal processing software is included in this package.
The following programs are available: na_play: generic playback program for use with net_audio and CSTR ao. ch_wave: Waveform file conversion program. ch_lab: label file conversion program. ch_track: Track file conversion program. wagon: a CART tree build and test program

There are three methods to install speech-tools on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install speech-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install speech-tools using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install speech-toolsInstall speech-tools Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install speech-tools using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install speech-toolsInstall speech-tools Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the speech-tools package we can use the following command:

To remove speech-tools configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
