How To Install sogo on Debian 10
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install sogo
on Debian 10.
What is sogo
sogo is:
SOGo is a groupware server built around OpenGroupware.org (OGo) and the SOPE application server with focus on scalability. It has many feature enhancements:
- CalDAV and GroupDAV compliance
- full handling of vCard as well as vCalendar/iCalendar formats
- support for folder sharing and ACLs
The Web interface has been rewritten in an AJAX fashion to provide a faster UI for the users, consistency in look and feel with the Mozilla applications, and to reduce the load of the transactions on the server.
This package contains the SOGo daemon.
There are three methods to install sogo
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install sogo Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install sogo
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install sogo
Install sogo Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install sogo
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install sogo
Install sogo Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install sogo
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install sogo
How To Uninstall sogo on Debian 10
To uninstall only the sogo
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove sogo
Uninstall sogo And Its Dependencies
To uninstall sogo
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove sogo
Remove sogo Configurations and Data
To remove sogo
configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge sogo
Remove sogo configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
