How To Install sofa-apps on Ubuntu 18.04

SOFA is an Open Source framework primarily targeted at real-time simulation, with an emphasis on medical simulation. It is mostly intended for the research community to help develop newer algorithms, but can also be used as an efficient prototyping tool.
This package contains the SOFA main application.
There are three methods to install sofa-apps on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install sofa-apps Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install sofa-apps using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install sofa-apps

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install sofa-apps using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install sofa-apps
Install sofa-apps Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install sofa-apps using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install sofa-apps

To uninstall only the sofa-apps package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove sofa-apps

sudo apt-get -y autoremove sofa-apps
Remove sofa-apps Configurations and Data
To remove sofa-apps configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge sofa-apps
Remove sofa-apps configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove sofa-apps configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
