How To Install socket on Kali Linux

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install socket on Kali Linux.

What is socket

socket is:

The socket program is a simple tool for socket based connections. It can be used to create simple daemons (in both standalone and inetd mode), to connect to other daemons or to redirect ports.

There are three methods to install socket on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install socket Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install socket using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install socket

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install socket using apt by running the following command:

Install socket Using aptitude
