How To Install snoopy on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is snoopy
snoopy is:
snoopy is merely a shared library that is used as a wrapper to the execve() function provided by libc as to log every call to syslog (authpriv). system administrators may find snoopy useful in tasks such as light/heavy system monitoring, tracking other administrator’s actions as well as getting a good ‘feel’ of what’s going on in the system (for example Apache running cgi scripts).
This type of monitoring can be bypassed by hostile users, and should not be considered a secure replacement for tools like auditd.
There are three methods to install snoopy
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install snoopy Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install snoopy
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install snoopy

After updating apt database, We can install snoopy
using aptitude

How To Uninstall snoopy on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the snoopy
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove snoopy
Uninstall snoopy And Its Dependencies
To uninstall snoopy
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove snoopy
Remove snoopy Configurations and Data
To remove snoopy
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge snoopy
