How To Install snoopy on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install snoopy on Kali Linux.
What is snoopy
snoopy is:
snoopy is merely a shared library that is used as a wrapper to the execve() function provided by libc as to log every call to syslog (authpriv). system administrators may find snoopy useful in tasks such as light/heavy system monitoring, tracking other administrator’s actions as well as getting a good ‘feel’ of what’s going on in the system (for example Apache running cgi scripts).
This type of monitoring can be bypassed by hostile users, and should not be considered a secure replacement for tools like auditd.
There are three methods to install snoopy on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install snoopy Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install snoopy using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install snoopyInstall snoopy Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install snoopy using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install snoopyInstall snoopy Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install snoopy using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install snoopyHow To Uninstall snoopy on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the snoopy package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove snoopyUninstall snoopy And Its Dependencies
To uninstall snoopy and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove snoopyRemove snoopy Configurations and Data
To remove snoopy configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge snoopyRemove snoopy configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove snoopy configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
