How To Install sms4you-xmpp on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install sms4you-xmpp on Kali Linux.
What is sms4you-xmpp
sms4you-xmpp is:
sms4you forwards messages from and to SMS and connects either with sms4you-xmpp or sms4you-email to choose the other mean of communication. Nice for receiving or sending SMS, independently from carrying a SIM card.
This package contains the XMPP component.
There are three methods to install sms4you-xmpp on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install sms4you-xmpp Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install sms4you-xmpp using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install sms4you-xmppInstall sms4you-xmpp Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install sms4you-xmpp using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install sms4you-xmppInstall sms4you-xmpp Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install sms4you-xmpp using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install sms4you-xmppHow To Uninstall sms4you-xmpp on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the sms4you-xmpp package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove sms4you-xmppUninstall sms4you-xmpp And Its Dependencies
To uninstall sms4you-xmpp and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove sms4you-xmppRemove sms4you-xmpp Configurations and Data
To remove sms4you-xmpp configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge sms4you-xmppRemove sms4you-xmpp configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove sms4you-xmpp configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge sms4you-xmppDependencies
