How To Install smitools on Kali Linux

What is smitools

smitools is:

This package includes the following tools:

  • smidiff: check differences between a pair of SMI or SPPI modules
  • smiquery: query single information from SMI MIB modules
  • smilint: syntax and semantic checks of SMIv1/v2 and SPPI modules
  • smicache: caching method for use with libsmi
  • smixlate: translate SMI/SPPI identifiers
  • smidump: dump SMI or SPPI modules in various formats

There are three methods to install smitools on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install smitools Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install smitools using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install smitools

Install smitools Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install smitools using apt by running the following command:
