How To Install sipdialer on Ubuntu 18.04

What is sipdialer
sipdialer is:
sipdialer is a click-to-call application that uses the SIP REFER method to force a SIP phone (for example, the phone on your desk) to dial another number. It can be registered in GConf to handle clicks on sip:, sips: and tel: URIs in other applications and the web browser.
reSIProcate is a framework that aims to fully implement the SIP protocol in first class C++. It is intended for use in other applications, such as the repro SIP proxy.
There are three methods to install sipdialer on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install sipdialer Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install sipdialer using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install sipdialer

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install sipdialer using apt by running the following command:

Install sipdialer Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

How To Uninstall sipdialer on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the sipdialer package we can use the following command:

To uninstall sipdialer and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove sipdialer
Remove sipdialer Configurations and Data
To remove sipdialer configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge sipdialer
