How To Install simple-scan on Ubuntu 18.04

Simple Scan is an easy-to-use application, designed to let users connect their scanner and quickly have the image/document in an appropriate format.
Simple Scan is basically a frontend for SANE - which is the same backend as XSANE uses. This means that all existing scanners will work and the interface is well tested.
There are three methods to install simple-scan on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install simple-scan Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install simple-scan using apt-get by running the following command:

To remove simple-scan configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge simple-scan
