What is silkscreen-fonts

Silkscreen is a four member type family for your Web graphics created by Jason Kottke. Silkscreen is best used in places where extremely small graphical display type is needed. The primary use is for navigational items (nav bars, menus, etc), but it works well wherever small type is needed. In order to preserve the proper spacing and letterforms, Silkscreen should be used at 8pt. multiples (8pt., 16pt., 24pt., etc.) with anti-aliasing turned off.

We can use yum or dnf to install silkscreen-fonts on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install silkscreen-fonts.

Install silkscreen-fonts on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install silkscreen-fonts using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install silkscreen-fonts

Install silkscreen-fonts on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install silkscreen-fonts using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install silkscreen-fonts

How To Uninstall silkscreen-fonts on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the silkscreen-fonts package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove silkscreen-fonts
