This is sieve-connect. A client for the MANAGESIEVE protocol, as implemented by timsieved in Cyrus IMAP.

sieve-connect is designed to be both a tool which can be invoked from scripts and also a decent interactive client. It should also be a drop-in replacement for “sieveshell”, as supplied with Cyrus IMAP.

There are three methods to install sieve-connect on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install sieve-connect Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install sieve-connect using apt-get by running the following command:
