How To Install seqan-apps on Debian 9

What is seqan-apps
seqan-apps is:
SeqAn is a C++ template library of efficient algorithms and data structures for the analysis of sequences with the focus on biological data. This library applies a unique generic design that guarantees high performance, generality, extensibility, and integration with other libraries. SeqAn is easy to use and simplifies the development of new software tools with a minimal loss of performance. This package contains the applications dfi, pair_align, micro_razers, seqan_tcoffee, seqcons, razers and tree_recon.
There are three methods to install seqan-apps on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install seqan-apps Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install seqan-apps using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install seqan-apps
Install seqan-apps Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install seqan-apps using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install seqan-apps
Install seqan-apps Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install seqan-apps using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install seqan-apps
How To Uninstall seqan-apps on Debian 9
To uninstall only the seqan-apps package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove seqan-apps
Uninstall seqan-apps And Its Dependencies
To uninstall seqan-apps and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove seqan-apps
Remove seqan-apps Configurations and Data
To remove seqan-apps configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge seqan-apps
