How To Install selinux-policy-default on Kali Linux

This is the reference policy for SE Linux. In the default configuration it will provide the functionality previously known as the “targeted” policy. If the module “unconfined” is removed then it provides the functionality previously known as the “strict” policy.

There are three methods to install selinux-policy-default
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install selinux-policy-default Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install selinux-policy-default
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install selinux-policy-default

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install selinux-policy-default
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install selinux-policy-default

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install selinux-policy-default
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install selinux-policy-default
How To Uninstall selinux-policy-default on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the selinux-policy-default
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove selinux-policy-default
