How To Install seamonkey on AlmaLinux 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install seamonkey on AlmaLinux 8.
What is seamonkey
SeaMonkey is an all-in-one Internet application suite (previously made popular by Netscape and Mozilla). It includes an Internet browser, advanced e-mail, newsgroup and feed client, a calendar, IRC client, HTML editor and a tool to inspect the DOM for web pages. It is derived from the application formerly known as Mozilla Application Suite.
We can use yum or dnf to install seamonkey on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install seamonkey.
Install seamonkey on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install seamonkey using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install seamonkey
Install seamonkey on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install seamonkey using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install seamonkey
How To Uninstall seamonkey on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the seamonkey package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove seamonkey
