How To Install scsitools on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install scsitools on Kali Linux.
What is scsitools
scsitools is:
This package is a collection of tools for manipulating SCSI hardware:
scsiinfo: displays SCSI drive low-level information and modifies SCSI drive settings, scsidev: makes permanent SCSI LUN -> devicename connections, scsifmt: low-level SCSI formatter, sraw: benchmarks raw SCSI I/O rates bypassing the buffer cache, scsi-spin: program to manually spin up and down a SCSI device.
Beware that, to be used properly, these tools require some knowledge of what they’re doing as they can cause damage to your system.
There are three methods to install scsitools on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install scsitools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install scsitools using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install scsitoolsInstall scsitools Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the scsitools package we can use the following command:

To uninstall scsitools and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove scsitoolsRemove scsitools Configurations and Data
To remove scsitools configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
