How To Install scilab-doc on Kali Linux

Scilab is a matrix-based scientific software package. Scilab contains hundreds of built-in mathematical functions, rich data structures (including polynomials, rationals, linear systems, lists, etc…) and comes with a number of specific toolboxes for control, signal processing, …

This package also provides Xcos, a graphical editor to design hybrid dynamical systems models. Models can be designed, loaded, saved, compiled and simulated. There are three methods to install scilab-doc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install scilab-doc using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install scilab-doc

How To Uninstall scilab-doc on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the scilab-doc package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove scilab-doc

Uninstall scilab-doc And Its Dependencies

To uninstall scilab-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove scilab-doc

Remove scilab-doc Configurations and Data

To remove scilab-doc configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge scilab-doc
