In this tutorial we learn how to install rxvt-unicode
on CentOS 7.
What is rxvt-unicode
rxvt-unicode is a clone of the well known terminal emulator rxvt, modified to store text in Unicode (either UCS-2 or UCS-4) and to use locale-correct input and output. It also supports mixing multiple fonts at the same time, including Xft fonts.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install rxvt-unicode
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install rxvt-unicode.
Install rxvt-unicode on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install rxvt-unicode
using yum
