What is rubygem-ronn

Ronn builds manuals. It converts simple, human readable text files to roff for terminal display, and also to HTML for the web. The source format includes all of Markdown but has a more rigid structure and syntax extensions for features commonly found in man pages (definition lists, link notation, etc.). The ronn-format(7) manual page defines the format in detail.

We can use yum or dnf to install rubygem-ronn on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install rubygem-ronn.

Install rubygem-ronn on CentOS 8 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install rubygem-ronn using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install rubygem-ronn

Install rubygem-ronn on CentOS 8 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install rubygem-ronn using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install rubygem-ronn

How To Uninstall rubygem-ronn on CentOS 8

To uninstall only the rubygem-ronn package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove rubygem-ronn
