What is rubygem-mime-types
MIME will return the Content-Type for a given filename. MIME MIME of version 1.15, the data format for the MIME changed and the synchronization will no longer happen.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install rubygem-mime-types

Install rubygem-mime-types on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install rubygem-mime-types
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install rubygem-mime-types
Install rubygem-mime-types on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install rubygem-mime-types
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install rubygem-mime-types
How To Uninstall rubygem-mime-types on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the rubygem-mime-types
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove rubygem-mime-types
