How To Install ruby-zoom on Ubuntu 22.04

What is ruby-zoom
ruby-zoom is:
Ruby/ZOOM provides a Ruby binding to the Z39.50 Object-Orientation Model (ZOOM), an abstract object-oriented programming interface to a subset of the services specified by the Z39.50 standard, also known as the international standard ISO 23950.
Z39.50 is a client-server protocol for searching and retrieving information from remote computer databases. It is covered by ANSI/NISO standard Z39.50, and ISO standard 23950. The standard’s maintenance agency is the Library of Congress.
There are three methods to install ruby-zoom on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ruby-zoom Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

Install ruby-zoom Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-zoom using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ruby-zoom
How To Uninstall ruby-zoom on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the ruby-zoom package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-zoom
Uninstall ruby-zoom And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ruby-zoom and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-zoom
Remove ruby-zoom Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-zoom configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-zoom
Remove ruby-zoom configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ruby-zoom configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ruby-zoom
