What is ruby-upr

upr is Rack middleware that allows browser-side upload progress monitoring. It is based on (and should be client-side compatible with) several upload progress modules including ones used by leading web servers. It allows any Moneta backing store in addition to DRb.

Install ruby-upr Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-upr using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install ruby-upr

How To Uninstall ruby-upr on Ubuntu 18.04

To uninstall only the ruby-upr package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove ruby-upr

To uninstall ruby-upr and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-upr

To remove ruby-upr configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-upr
