What is ruby-truncato

ruby-truncato is:

Ruby tool for truncating HTML strings keeping a valid HTML markup.

Its main motivation was that existing libs couldn’t truncate a multiple-MB document into a few-KB one in a reasonable time. It uses the Nokogiri SAX parser.

There are three methods to install ruby-truncato on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ruby-truncato Using apt-get
