How To Install ruby-timeliness on Kali Linux

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install ruby-timeliness on Kali Linux.

What is ruby-timeliness

ruby-timeliness is:

Date/time parser for Ruby with the following features:

• Extensible with custom formats and tokens.
• Fast, up to 60% faster than Time/Date parse method.
• Control the parser strictness.
• Control behaviour of ambiguous date formats (US vs European e.g. mm/dd/yy, dd/mm/yy).
• I18n support (for months), if I18n gem loaded.
• Works with Ruby MRI >= 2.2

Extracted from the validates_timeliness gem, it has been rewritten cleaner and much faster. It’s most suitable for when one need to control the parsing behaviour.

There are three methods to install ruby-timeliness on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ruby-timeliness Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-timeliness using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install ruby-timeliness

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
