How To Install ruby-sshkey on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install ruby-sshkey on Kali Linux.
What is ruby-sshkey
ruby-sshkey is:
Generate private/public SSH keypairs (RSA and DSA supported) using pure Ruby.
When generating a new keypair the default key type is 2048-bit RSA, but you can supply the type (RSA or DSA) and bits in the options. You can also (optionally) supply a comment or passphrase.
This library can read a public or private key and present it as a string.
There are three methods to install ruby-sshkey on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ruby-sshkey Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-sshkey using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ruby-sshkeyInstall ruby-sshkey Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-sshkey using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ruby-sshkeyInstall ruby-sshkey Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-sshkey using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the ruby-sshkey package we can use the following command:

To uninstall ruby-sshkey and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-sshkeyRemove ruby-sshkey Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-sshkey configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-sshkeyRemove ruby-sshkey configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ruby-sshkey configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
