How To Install ruby-spy on Ubuntu 18.04

What is ruby-spy
ruby-spy is:
Spy is a mocking library that was made for the modern age. It uses that uses the spy pattern and checks method’s existence and arity: Spy by default will raise an error if you attempt to stub a method that doesn’t exist or call the stubbed method with the wrong arity.
There are three methods to install ruby-spy
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-spy
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-spy
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ruby-spy
Install ruby-spy Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-spy
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ruby-spy
How To Uninstall ruby-spy on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the ruby-spy
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-spy
Uninstall ruby-spy And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ruby-spy
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-spy
Remove ruby-spy Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-spy
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-spy
Remove ruby-spy configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ruby-spy
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
