This package provides the Ruby bindings needed for developing Ruby SELinux applications. Security-enhanced Linux is a patch of the Linux kernel and a number of utilities with enhanced security functionality designed to add mandatory access controls to Linux. The Security-enhanced Linux kernel contains new architectural components originally developed to improve the security of the Flask operating system. These architectural components provide general support for the enforcement of many kinds of mandatory access control policies, including those based on the concepts of Type Enforcement, Role-based Access Control, and Multi-level Security.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-selinux using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install ruby-selinux

How To Uninstall ruby-selinux on Ubuntu 18.04

To uninstall only the ruby-selinux package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove ruby-selinux

Uninstall ruby-selinux And Its Dependencies

To uninstall ruby-selinux and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-selinux

Remove ruby-selinux Configurations and Data

To remove ruby-selinux configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-selinux

Remove ruby-selinux configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove ruby-selinux configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
