How To Install ruby-roxml on Kali Linux

ROXML is a Ruby library designed to make it easier for Ruby developers to work with XML. Using simple annotations, it enables Ruby classes to be mapped to XML. ROXML takes care of the marshalling and unmarshalling of mapped attributes so that developers can focus on building first-class Ruby classes. As a result, ROXML simplifies the development of RESTful applications, Web Services, and XML-RPC.

There are three methods to install ruby-roxml on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ruby-roxml Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-roxml using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install ruby-roxml

Install ruby-roxml Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-roxml using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install ruby-roxml

Install ruby-roxml Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-roxml using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install ruby-roxml

How To Uninstall ruby-roxml on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the ruby-roxml package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove ruby-roxml

Uninstall ruby-roxml And Its Dependencies

To uninstall ruby-roxml and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-roxml

Remove ruby-roxml Configurations and Data

To remove ruby-roxml configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-roxml

Remove ruby-roxml configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
