How To Install ruby-rjb on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install ruby-rjb on Kali Linux.

What is ruby-rjb

ruby-rjb is:

Rjb is a library that connect between Ruby and Java using the Java Native Interface.

Among others, it supports importing Java classes into Ruby’s environment, instantiating objects with a number of type matching rules, calling instance method (overloaded or not), accessing fields, binding Ruby objects to Java interfaces, throws java exception in ruby-bounded-object, and inspecting object classes.

There are three methods to install ruby-rjb on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ruby-rjb Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-rjb using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install ruby-rjb

Install ruby-rjb Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-rjb using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install ruby-rjb

Install ruby-rjb Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-rjb using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install ruby-rjb

How To Uninstall ruby-rjb on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the ruby-rjb package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove ruby-rjb

Uninstall ruby-rjb And Its Dependencies

To uninstall ruby-rjb and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-rjb

Remove ruby-rjb Configurations and Data

To remove ruby-rjb configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-rjb

Remove ruby-rjb configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove ruby-rjb configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
