What is ruby-rinku

ruby-rinku is:

Rinku is a Ruby library that does autolinking.

It parses text and turns anything that remotely resembles a link into an HTML link, just like the Ruby on Rails auto_link method – but it’s about 20 times faster, because it’s written in C, and it’s about 20 times smarter when linking, because it does actual parsing instead of RegEx replacements.

There are three methods to install ruby-rinku on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ruby-rinku Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-rinku using apt-get by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install ruby-rinku using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install ruby-rinku

How To Uninstall ruby-rinku on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the ruby-rinku package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove ruby-rinku

Uninstall ruby-rinku And Its Dependencies

To uninstall ruby-rinku and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-rinku

Remove ruby-rinku Configurations and Data

To remove ruby-rinku configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-rinku
