How To Install ruby-remcached on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install ruby-remcached on Kali Linux.
What is ruby-remcached
ruby-remcached is:
Ruby EventMachine memCACHED client implementation
Provides a direct interface to the memcached protocol and its semantics
Uses the memcached binary protocol_ to reduce parsing overhead on
the server side (requires memcached >= 1.3)
Supports multiple servers with simple round-robin key hashing in a fault-tolerant way
Writing your own abstraction layer is recommended
Uses RSpec

There are three methods to install ruby-remcached on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ruby-remcached Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-remcached using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ruby-remcachedInstall ruby-remcached Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ruby-remcached using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ruby-remcachedInstall ruby-remcached Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the ruby-remcached package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-remcachedRemove ruby-remcached Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-remcached configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-remcachedRemove ruby-remcached configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ruby-remcached configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
