How To Install ruby-raemon on Kali Linux

What is ruby-raemon
ruby-raemon is:
Raemon is a Ruby framework for building daemons. It’s designed for writing master/worker pre-forking servers running on UNIX. The library has been tested on both 1.8.7 and 1.9.2 and carries no dependencies outside of the Ruby core.
There are three methods to install ruby-raemon
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ruby-raemon Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-raemon
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ruby-raemon
Install ruby-raemon Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-raemon
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ruby-raemon
Install ruby-raemon Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ruby-raemon
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ruby-raemon
How To Uninstall ruby-raemon on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the ruby-raemon
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ruby-raemon
Uninstall ruby-raemon And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ruby-raemon
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ruby-raemon
Remove ruby-raemon Configurations and Data
To remove ruby-raemon
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ruby-raemon
Remove ruby-raemon configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
